Following another successful year in business, Conveyor Systems Limited (CSL) - one of the leading suppliers of bespoke conveyors and conveyor systems, reported a good attendance at the PPMA exhibition held at the NEC in September this year with many positive enquiries on its stand. A range of innovative conveying solutions were displayed, including the novel spiralveyor that has been successfully used to interface and integrate with other OEM packaging machinery to provide successful handling and logistic solutions. The working spiralveyor unit on display was one of the smallest models in the range and like all units, featured a space saving compact footprint and offered versatility in operation. Details of the much larger twin lane reversible spiral elevator/ de-elevators was also displayed and is ideally suited to providing the handling capacity required of modern packaging systems operating in dual lanes between different floor levels. This type of spiral is perfect for high speed packaging installations requiring multiple product lines to be elevated side by side, with each lane being controlled separately and capable of running in opposite directions at differing speeds if required. Also, if buffer accumulation is required, product can be fed up the inside lane, looped back onto the outside lane at high level, and returned back down onto the main line without the need for sophisticated transfers. CSL also exhibited details of a range of light to heavy duty powered roller conveyors in mild and stainless steel for handling cartons, cases, shrink-wrapped packs, tote bins, boxes, dollies, pallets, etc. The compact, high speed pneumatically operated lineshaft driven switch sorter offered by CSL adds a new dimension to integrated system design and is capable of handling various sized products from as little as 200mm square at high speed. These switch modules provide maximum versatility with bi-directional (left / right) 45 degree sortation with minimum product spacing. Details of stainless steel and plastic modular conveyors for clean/wet areas and lightweight products were also be displayed alongside heavy duty gravity and powered expandable conveyors for end-of-line handling applications. CSL Director, Steve Graham commented, “The stand design was compact but allowed us to exhibit and created much interest with visitors. We can report that the exhibition proved to be very successful, as borne out by the high level of quotations and subsequent orders.” |
